Wollastonite, the raw material of KEMOLIT®; It is a natural mineral with a needle-like crystal structure, chemical inert and white color. This mineral, known as calcium metasilicate, is obtained from open pit mines.
KEMOLIT® products are made by high technology processing of natural Wollastonite mineral obtained from the purest Wollastonite reserves in the world. The refining processes after removal from the quarry are carried out with the utmost care to protect the rod-shaped structure of the material. This forms a unique material with an aspect ratio of up to 1:45. This structure enables its use as reinforcing filler on a microscopic level.
It can be used as partial substitute or complete substitute of GLASS FIBER in some applications with its acicular / rod structure and high aspect ratio. It is a functional filling material and it increases micro strength, bending, bending strength, impact resistance, heat resistance and provides dimensional stability in its products.
